I'll be updating the systematic market trend readings from major fixed income (US Based), currency, commodity and stock markets (US Based) from macro to micro on a real time basis. Understanding trend-status across different trading time periods for the major markets supports us in developing an unbiased discretionary perspective of the markets we trade. The market bias across multiple time periods of input tells a story of the respective 'nature' of any market. It also gives us a view into the interconnected cycles of markets and the respective stages of those cycles in time. Markets are always developing in structure and in time as capital flows around the world into and out of different markets. The trend status below reflects the cascading and influence of capital flows from the minor (or short term) time frame (3 day trend) to the embedded macro (major) time periods that shape the activity and directional bias of that market. On this site, I use trend status from major markets as a component macro-indicator or clue about what may be developing in the domestic US stock Indices and specifically the Nasdaq 100 Index (NQ). This is one of many market-generated top-down component inputs that I may use in developing 'betting odds' or 'expectancy' in positional trading.
